RECOSA and the City of San Antonio’s Human Resources Dept. held a successful Brown Bag session on heart health on Mar. 24th at the Pre-K 4 SA East Education Center.
Methodist Healthcare gave a presentation on “Heart Disease Prevention – A Dietary Perspective”. They offered complimentary blood pressure checks to all attendees by two registered nurses and provided bags for all 33 attendees. They also provided additional information including a heart healthy shopping list, mistakes when reading nutrition labels, and heart healthy recipes.
