Jul. 2023 RECOSA Board Meeting Cancellation Due to the Independence Day holiday, the Jul. 4, 2023, RECOSA board meeting has been cancelled. RECOSA and the City of San Antonio’s Human Resources Dept. held a successful Brown Bag session on heart health on Mar. 24th at the Pre-K 4 SA East Education Center.
Methodist Healthcare gave a presentation on “Heart Disease Prevention – A Dietary Perspective”. They offered complimentary blood pressure checks to all attendees by two registered nurses and provided bags for all 33 attendees. They also provided additional information including a heart healthy shopping list, mistakes when reading nutrition labels, and heart healthy recipes.
