    Board Election

Reminder! 2024-2025 elections for the RECOSA Board will be held during the Nov. 17 Annual Meeting/Brown Bag. The RECOSA Nominating Committee will be accepting statements of interest from City of San Antonio retirees who wish to serve a two-year term Jan. 1, 2024 – Dec. 31, 2025. Statements of interest should include: 1) your name and contact information; 2) background information; 3) expressed commitment to preserve retiree benefits, and; 4) availability to attend meetings either in person or virtually. The Board conducts much of its business via online meetings, email, and text messaging. In-person meetings are also possible.

As with most non-profit organizations, there are skill sets for Board members which are helpful: organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; computer literacy; financial skills; the ability to multi-task, be flexible, and work with limited resources. Please highlight any experiences in these areas on your statement of interest. We are a small Board of volunteers and Board members may take on various responsibilities as the needs arise.

Liz Garcia is Chair of the Nominating Committee, along with Committee members David Lopez and Rebecca Waldman. We welcome new Board members so RECOSA may continue to support COSA retirees as much as possible. Please email your statements of interest to info@recosa.org as soon as possible, but no later than Tue., Oct. 31. Please note on the email’s subject line “NOMINATING COMMITTEE”.
