July 2021 City of San Antonio’s Retiree Matters Newsletter Now Available

The City of San Antonio has published the July 2021 Retiree Matters Newsletter and they should be in your mailboxes soon.

Of interest to most of our members, the City announced that in-person Brown Bag sessions will resume on Friday, August 13th, at the Mission Library from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Topics will include the upcoming proposed budget and an update on current health benefits. Masks are no longer required in City facilities if you have been fully vaccinated. They are asking that you wear a mask if you have not been fully vaccinated.

Other items of interest in Retiree Matters:

  • Interim Human Resources Director Renee Freida introduced herself and invites RECOSA member participation.
  • City Manager Erik Walsh updates on opening facilities, renovations and the Charitable Campaign.
  • Aetna Healthy Rewards program features are explained.
  • RECOSA Board Chair Rebecca Waldman updates on the Brown Bag, new website, Policy and Procedures/Orientation Manual, and other news.

As usual, the newsletter includes all the contact information for our various benefits providers and numerous other activities and programs. And there’s a long list of new retirees joining our ranks. Be sure to check it out!
