Rose M. Rangel passed away on November 20, 2021. Rose served on the Board of the Retired Employees of the City of San Antonio (RECOSA) and during her seven year tenure on the board, she held several board officer positions, including Chair.
Rose was always totally involved in ensuring the organization represented the voice of the retirees. Every year she worked diligently to obtain donated funds for RECOSA for basic operations and membership activities. Present at all RECOSA functions, Rose made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. She enjoyed representing RECOSA at the City’s employees’ retirement education sessions outreaching to future retirees to join RECOSA.
Rose retired from the City of San Antonio after 35 years of service. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Science from Our Lady of Lake University. In addition to the RECOSA board, she served on the Generations Federal Credit Union Board and several other non-profit boards at the time of her death.
The RECOSA Board will greatly miss Rose’s dedication, cheerfulness and positivity. We are fortunate that Rose was on the board serving all COSA retirees.
