Annual Enrollment Ends Tomorrow for Pre-65 Retirees | Post-65 Medicare Retiree Annual Enrollment Starts Nov. 10
Tomorrow, Oct. 31, is the end of annual enrollment for Pre-65 Non-Medicare retirees. If you wish to make changes to your medical, dental and/or vision coverage, you must do so by tomorrow.

- 2% ad hoc Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) beginning Jan. 2026
Medical
- Post-65 (Medicare-Eligibile) Retirees
- No change in Medicare Advantage plans offered through Aetna – Standard PPO, Enhanced PPO, and Pharmacy-Only

- Annual enrollment Nov. 10 – Nov. 27
- Aetna will send annual enrollment information to Medicare-eligible retirees
- Pre-65 (Non-Medicare) Retirees
- No change in medical plans offered through Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Texas – Consumer Choice, New Value, and Blue Essentials HMO

- Annual enrollment Oct. 6 – Oct. 31
- City of San Antonio will send annual enrollment information to non-Medicare retirees
Dental & Vision
- Vision Service Plan (VSP) will continue to offer vision coverage
- Humana will continue to offer dental coverage
- No increase to dental and vision premiums
If you do not wish to make any changes to your medical, dental or vision coverage, no action is required on your part – your current coverage will automatically roll over to 2026. If you do not have vision or dental insurance and would like coverage in 2026, you must enroll during annual enrollment.

Info Sessions: Aetna and Employee Benefits are hosting two (2) information sessions. During these sessions, you will get more details about the 2026 Aetna Medicare Advantage Plans. The same information will be presented during each meeting.

Tomorrow is Deadline to Vote in RECOSA’s Board Election
Tomorrow, Oct 31, is the deadline to vote in the 2026-2027 RECOSA board election. Click this image to vote.
The board has four (4) open director positions for the two-year term, Jan. 1, 2026 – Dec. 31, 2027. A nominating committee solicited statements of interest from members Aug. 19, 2025 – Sep. 14, 2025. As a result, the nominating committee received four (4) nominees and is recommending all four (4) nominees as the list of candidates.
