Retiree Matters

Attached is a copy of the Retiree Matters quarterly newsletter that is being mailed to all retirees.  In it you will find an update from our RECOSA Chair Liz Garcia who apprises us of the organization’s work with COSA to evaluate the Third Party Administrator (TPA) proposals submitted to the City and the survey we are preparing to obtain member feedback on the services we should pursue for our members.  She also reminds us of the upcoming Brown Bag meeting at the Central Public Library on May 12th where we will learn how to get started in genealogy and receive information on UnitedHealthcare’s virtual doctor’s visits for non-Medicare retirees.  RECOSA will provide a light lunch and a $50 HEB gift card door prize at the meeting so please come and don’t forget to RSVP so we have enough lunches for everyone.

The newsletter also contains:

  • Notes from the City Manager on the FY 2017 budget process,
  • Message from Lori Steward, COSA Human Resources Director,
  • Opportunities for free fitness and exercise classes through the Fitness in the Park Program, and
  • Congratulations to a host of new retirees.

We think you will find it an interesting read.
