I served as Director of Public Works for the COSA 1992 to 2001. I retired from the City & from TMRS in 2001. My experience includes service on the Board or Executive Committee of many non-profit & professional society organizations in my 53 year career. Serving as the Chair of major Committees of other organizations also gave me experience as a leader & manager of important programs, activities, &/or projects. My role as leader of 1600 city employees while serving with Public Works was most relevant experience I can cite that would be beneficial to the RECOSA Board. I know the interest of the members of RECOSA because I’m one of them. I’m a retired COSA employee who has followed the efforts of RECOSA to represent the interest of city retirees before the City staff & City Council. I was a City employee working very closely with fellow employees of Public Works for 8 years, & getting to know them at a personal level. I worked on behalf of city employees, especially as member of the City Manager’s Executive Team. It’s been 18 years since my retirement & many of my colleagues have also retired. My interest is to do what I can to help them & all other COSA retirees enjoy the benefits earned during their working years.
