The Commander’s House Adult and Senior Center, 645 S. Main, is now offering a series of Winter Wellness Fridays for adults and seniors. The classes will run from January 24 through March 21 every Friday. 

 The Chronic Disease and Self Management class will be held 9:30 a.m.- 12 p.m. This class is designed to help people suffering from any chronic health condition such as arthritis, high blood pressure, asthma, or diabetes.

 A Matter of Balance: Falls Prevention class will be offered 10 a.m.- 12 p.m.  This class will aid participants in increasing their strength, flexibility and balance as well as decreasing their fear of falling.

Participants are invited to enjoy coffee before class at 9 a.m. Lunch is included at no charge. Both classes are free-of-charge to Commander’s House members. The annual membership fee is $15 for ages 18 to 59 and $7 for ages 60 and up.
